Madinah - Saudi Arabia

Day 1 | The long-awaited journey has arrived

Upon arrival in Medina, you will be warmly welcomed at the airport and escorted to a private transfer that will take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is dedicated to a gentle landing in the holy city of Medina. The rest of the day can be spent as you wish.

Day 2 | Ziyarat - Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and Masjid al-Ghamama

You will have plenty of time to start the day quietly with a hearty breakfast. The rest of the morning and afternoon can be spent as you wish.

Welcome to Madinah (Taibah al Taibah), the first capital of Islam and the cradle of Muslim civilization, where you will be greeted with warmth and hospitality. Madinah has a rich Islamic heritage as one of the most important places of revelation to the Holy Prophet, and houses his blessed tomb (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Known in ancient times as Yathrib, Madinah was important because of its strategic location along the pilgrimage and trade routes.

At 8 p.m., when the sun has set and it is a bit more pleasant, a professional guide will take you on a 2-hour excursion and let you experience part of Ziyarat. You will visit the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and Masjid al-Ghamama. They are located in the same square, within walking distance from the hotel. This is where the Prophet is buried.

The entrance for women is also nearby, but access to the Rawdah is restricted to specific times for female visitors. To enter the Rawdah you need a permit which you can obtain here .

Day 3 | Ziyarat - Uhud mountain, Quba mosque, 7 mosques, Jannat al-Baqi, historic Madinah and the souq

Today is dedicated to the extensive Ziyarat where you will visit the holy sites listed below:

Uhud Mountain

One of the main highlights of Madinah. It is "a mountain that loves us and we love it." At its foot lies the battlefield of Uhud, and in its soil rest the martyrs.

Visit and prayer at the Quba mosque

Located at the Quba Square, the mosque is considered one of the most important holy sites in Madinah. The mosque stands out for its unique central location surrounded by historic neighborhoods and is characterized by an architectural style rich in cultural heritage. It is the first mosque ever built in the history of Islam. It is one of the largest mosques in Madinah, surpassed only by the Mosque of the Prophet. After his migration from Makkah to Madinah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) built this mosque.

7 Mosques

The 7 Mosques is a complex of mosques often visited by pilgrims during the Hajj season because of their history associated with the Prophet's biography.

These 7 mosques are associated with Ghazwat al-Khandaq (the Battle of the Trench), also known as Ghazwat al-Ahzab (the Battle of the Allies), and they are located on the west side of Sala'-Mountain, near part of the trench that the Muslims dug during the Prophet's time to defend Madinah when the armies of Quraysh and tribes marched there in 5 A.H. The Muslims who defended Madinah were stationed in these mosques and each mosque was named after the person who was stationed there, except the Al-Fath mosque. From north to south are the following mosques: Al-Fath Mosque, Salman Al-Farsi Mosque, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Mosque, Omar bin Khattab Mosque, Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque and Fatimah Az-Zahra Mosque.

Jannat al-Baqi

Jannat al-Baqi is a cemetery located next to the Prophet's mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi), the largest mosque in Madinah. Many of Muhammad's relatives and companions are buried in this cemetery.

Day 4 | Leisure day and dinner with a local family

The morning and afternoon can be filled as you wish. The highlights below are worth a visit:

Ghars well

Built in the pre-Islamic era, this archaeological well is known for its connection to the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The main feature of the spring is its beautiful architectural style.

Masjid Banu Unaif

A mosque built of basalt stone built by Banu Unaif, where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed when he visited his companion Talha bin Al Baraa (may Allah be pleased with him).

As Safiyyah Museum & Park

The new As Safiyyah Museum and Park is located at the front of the blessed Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. The As Safiyyah Museum and Park covers an area of 4,400 square meters and is divided into several sections, including: a museum showing the Story of Creation, a public garden, waterways, as well as stores and restaurants. Admission is free and a visit takes about 45 minutes.

At 6 p.m., join a Saudi family who will give you a comprehensive introduction to hafawah, also known as Arabic hospitality. Your taste buds will be in for a treat. You will return to the hotel at 9:00 p.m. for a well-deserved night's sleep.

Day 5 | Train trip to Makkah and Umrah

The morning can be filled as you wish.

In the early afternoon, you will travel by high-speed train from Madinah to Makkah in just over 2 hours. Along the way, you will see the majestic clock tower looming, as well as the bustling center where the Haram is located. The clock towers 600 meters above the city of Makkah, can be seen from a distance of 25 kilometers and is the second tallest building in the Middle East after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. From Makkah's train station, you will be transferred to the hotel to freshen up and get ready for Umrah.

"Labbayka Allahumma umrah" translates as "Here I am, O Allah, for the umrah." A phrase that all Muslims from all over the world have always wished to say. The Prophet, may peace and prayers be with him, performed the Umrah four times in his life and the Hajj once. During the Umrah, you perform the Tawaf in which you perform seven circumambulations around the Kaaba. Each circumambulation begins and ends in front of the Black Stone. The guest of Rahman holds the Kaaba on his left side during the Tawaf.

Sa'y consists of seven runs between Safa and Marwa. You start at Safa and proceed to Marwa. You complete one round when you reach Marwa. The second round is completed when you return to Safa, and so on, until the seventh round ends at Marwa. It is Sunnah for men, rather than women, to walk quickly between the two green pillars, and neither cleansing nor continuity is required for the Sa'y. If you have performed Sa'y with Tawaf Al-Qudoum (arrival circumambulation), there is no need to repeat it.

Day 6 | Free morning and Umrah

The morning and afternoon can be filled as you wish. The following highlights are worth visiting: Hira Cultural District (The Revelation Gallery, Museum of the Holy Quran, Saudi Coffee Museum, Cultural Library and Hira Garden). Jebel Al Nour and the Masjid Aisha (Taneem Mosque) are also worth visiting.

In the afternoon you will once again perform the Umrah with a guide.

Day 7 | Goodbye Makkah

Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to the holy city of Makkah. A private transfer will take you from the hotel to Jeddah Airport from where you will fly home.
