Desert Rock hotel in Saudi Arabia

Desert Rock hotel in Saudi Arabia

The Desert Rock hotel in the Hejaz Mountains of Saudi Arabia, located a 30-minute drive from Red Sea International Airport, has finally opened its doors. The hotel is part of Red Sea Global, which is considered the most ambitious luxury tourism project currently under construction on the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia. The location is very special and the architecture is of the highest standard. The hotel is nestled among the mountains of the Hejaz region in western Saudi Arabia and close to the Red Sea. The design is inspired by the Nabataean civilization, which once inhabited the Arabian Peninsula and is famous for its rock-cut architecture.

A hidden valley

You arrive in a hidden valley, which gives you access to the hotel. The architecture stretches over 30,000 square meters of land. Accommodations range from ground-floor villas to suites embedded in the mountains. All benefit from natural light as they are raised from the ground and from large window openings that mimic the entrances of caves.

Highend dining

The Desert Rock hotel has six restaurants and dining areas.

At Nyra, under the guidance of the renowned Turkish farm-to-table chef Osman Sezener, the open kitchen showcases traditional methods with cooking over wood fire and traditional smoking of dishes, resulting in a menu rich in flavor and texture that celebrates the bounty of land and sea.

At Mica you will find innovative mocktails and small dishes that celebrate the hotel's natural surroundings, served at tables around fire pits, while Basalt serves a healthy breakfast with modern Indian dishes later in the day.

Relaxation at Desert Rock

Located at the foot of the mountain, with eight treatment rooms including a private hammam and rhassoul room, the spa features steam baths, state-of-the-art Gharieni equipment and private outdoor terraces.

The Desert Rock Signature Ritual begins with a one-on-one yoga session to cleanse the chakras, followed by a cellular gold exfoliation to renew skin texture and a warm rhassoul body wrap to nourish and hydrate.

This is followed by a massage with exclusive Desert Rock treatment oil and 24-karat gold-plated massage stones to relieve deep muscle tension, concluding with a cellular gold facial renewal to rejuvenate the skin using a gold-plated gua sha stone and roller for sculpting and contouring.

Adventure on land, sea and air

The hotel offers a variety of activities for all ages and interests, from trekking to zipline to stargazing under the dark sky.

You can also choose to climb the 622 steps to the hotel's highest point, an observatory reached by crossing a rope bridge at dizzying heights. The lack of an elevator was a wise choice - it may not be easily accessible, but that's exactly what makes the mind-boggling view once at the top so worthwhile.

For those who just want to relax amid the rugged mountainous beauty, the Wadi pool is an oasis of calm - while the kids club, with an agenda full of fun outdoor play activities, will keep little ones entertained for hours each day.

Sustainability

Recycled materials were used to build Desert Rock. Cooling techniques and efficient systems were used to reduce energy consumption. Native plants have been used to add greenery to the rocky spaces. By respecting and enhancing nature, they have created a haven that allows you to experience the beauty and power of the landscape in a personal and meaningful way.
