Flynas is the first airline to offer five direct flights a week between Brussels and Jeddah. This is the first time that the Saudi low-cost carrier has flown from Belgium to Saudi Arabia.
Flynas will operate an Airbus A320neo on the route, taking just over six hours to cover the distance between Brussels and Jeddah. The plane will seat 174 passengers.
The flights will depart Brussels at 10:10 a.m. (local time) and arrive in Jeddah at 5:15 p.m. local time. The return flight will depart at 4:00 a.m. local time and arrive back in Brussels at 9:20 a.m. (local time). The flight duration is 6:20 hours.
Currently, the airline offers connections to more than 70 domestic and international destinations, with an impressive schedule of more than 1,500 flights per week. Since its launch in 2007, the airline has carried more than 60 million passengers. Its growth plan aims to serve as many as 165 domestic and international destinations by 2030, in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia is seeking significant growth in its aviation sector to become less dependent on oil revenues and to attract more tourists. To achieve this goal, the country's government is establishing a second network airline called Riyadh Air, alongside the existing airline Saudia.
