Discover Siranna in NEOM, Saudi Arabia

Saudi megaproject NEOM has unveiled images of a hotel project called Siranna, designed by architecture firm Woods Bagot, which will contain apartments and a hotel in a hexagonal structure designed to "integrate into the adjacent mountain."

As the latest area announced as part of the NEOM development in northwestern Saudi Arabia, Siranna will be located on a bay on the Gulf of Aqaba that will be accessible only from the sea.

Described as an "ultra-luxury destination," the development will include a 65-room hotel along with 35 private residences.

They will be housed in a rocky structure with a hexagonal shape, similar to a basalt column formation. Initial sketches show it is designed to blend into the mountain next to which it is being built.

The destination offers uninterrupted views of the Red Sea, with the stepped design offering diverse views and perspectives. Emerging from the rugged coastal landscape, the hexagonal pillars are distinctive but complementary to the surrounding mountains and flora.

The architecture will pay homage to the heritage of the local area and blend seamlessly with the adjacent mountain and wadi.

In addition to the hotel, the project will include several restaurants, beach clubs, spas and wellness facilities.

NEOM and The Line

Siranna is the seventh area announced as part of the NEOM project, including the 170-kilometer-long city called The Line.

This follows the unveiling of Epicon - a luxury resort in the form of a pair of pointy skyscrapers on the Gulf of Aqaba and a trio of "luxury boutique hotels" called Leyja.

The NEOM project will feature a total of 10 regions, including an octagonal port city called Oxagon, the mirrored megacity The Line and an island resort called Sindalah.
