Welcome to Madinah (Taibah al Taibah), the first capital of Islam and the cradle of Islamic civilization, where you will be welcomed with open arms.
Madinah has a rich Islamic heritage and is one of the most important places of revelation to the Holy Prophet as well it houses his blessed tomb (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Known in ancient times as Yathrib, it was of great importance for a long time because of its strategic location along the pilgrimage and trade routes.
Madinah is also home to numerous historic mosques and beautiful monuments. We are happy to tell you more about the main highlights of Madinah.

In this mosque, the Holy Prophet received the revelations, and prayers in the Prophet's Mosque are rewarded better than prayers in other mosques. It contains Ar Rawdah Ash Sharifah, a place believed to be a part of Paradise, located between the Prophet's House and the Prophet's Minbar (pulpit).
This location marks a pivotal moment in Islamic history, when Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was chosen as the first caliph of the Muslims.

The Seven Mosques is a complex of mosques often visited by pilgrims during the hajj season because of their history associated with the Prophet's biography.
These seven mosques are associated with Ghazwat al-Khandaq (the Battle of the Trench), also known as Ghazwat al-Ahzab (the Battle of the Allies), and they are located on the west side of Sala'-Mountain, near part of the trench that the Muslims dug during the Prophet's time to defend Madinah when the armies of Quraysh and tribes allied to it marched there in 5 A.H.
The Muslims who defended Madinah were stationed in these mosques, and each mosque was named after the person stationed there, except the Al-Fath mosque. From north to south are the following mosques: Al-Fath Mosque, Salman Al-Farsi Mosque, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Mosque, Omar bin Khattab Mosque, Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque and Fatimah Az-Zahra Mosque.
The new As Safiyyah Museum and Park is located at the front of the blessed Al Masjid An Nabawi, close to the five-star Pullman Medina hotel.
