Tour of Saudi Arabia and Oman

Our week in Saudi Arabia went extremely well. The program was superbly organized and any minor internal issues within the group were quickly resolved. We look back on it with great satisfaction.

The hotel choices were excellent. We would particularly like to mention Banyan Tree: this was truly exceptional and an unforgettable experience. All the other hotels met our requirements, some better than others.

As for the guides: clearly dedicated and very honest and committed to the group. When we needed more depth in terms of culture and history, a local guide was called in, who noticeably provided extra content and satisfaction within the group. We were "in good hands."

The group unanimously agrees: Saudi Arabia was GREAT. The program was well structured, with absolute highlights such as: Diriyah, Edge of the World, safari through Wadi Disah, Banyan Tree, and the Maraya Concert Hall.

Oman

Our first day in Muscat started very well, with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House, combined with The Chedi – another wonderful experience.

Unfortunately, we then had a more difficult day. During a trip with the guide, we first had a collision and then a blowout. We would like to explicitly mention that the guide handled this very professionally by immediately arranging another car and guide.

The next day, however, things went completely wrong with the new guide, but once again Gábor and his team immediately took the initiative by assigning a new guide to continue our program towards Nizwa and Al Hamra.

Upon arrival in Salalah, we were once again welcomed by a local guide. We booked two half-days to further explore the area and culture. This guide took excellent care of us, with a few extras and... a final evening with dinner on the beach.

Saudi Arabia was undoubtedly a hit; Oman has wonderful assets, but if you want to visit both countries, start with Oman first, because the nature in Saudi Arabia is overwhelming and unspoiled.
